Astrology of the April 2021 Scorpio Full Moon

Astrology chart for the Full Moon in Scorpio of 26 April 2021
Scorpio Full Moon astrology chart for 26 April 2021, set for Chicago

The Full Moon will be at 7° Scorpio 06′. As the zodiac sign of Scorpio is ruled by Mars, this Full Moon is ruled by Mars.

Mars has recently moved from Gemini into the sign of Cancer. Mars is in fall in Cancer, meaning that it is not overly comfortable in this position. When Mars is in Cancer, the typical qualities associated with Mars (action, drive, ambition, aggression) are not expressed in a way that we would generally expect.

Helping the situation somewhat, the Moon will receive a trine from Mars, its ruler. While Mars is in fall in the sign of Cancer, it is helped somewhat by being in the Egyptian terms of Mars (it may be in a watery sign, but it is a Mars-ruled subset of that sign).

The Moon will be opposite multiple planets in Taurus. Venus (affections and values) and Mercury (thinking and communications) conjoined Uranus (planet of the unexpected, innovative and revolutionary) the week before this Full Moon and then moved on to square Saturn (limitations and hard work). After opposing the Sun (which is what a Full Moon is), the Moon opposes Uranus, then Venus, and finally Mercury.

Full Moons are about culminations or high points; they are also about endings. With this Full Moon, there may be some surprising or shocking endings. This is likely to be with regards to relationships, values, thinking, learning and communications.

We may see endings or peaks associated with the natal houses where Scorpio is in our charts. However, it may pay to watch and see what happens shortly after the Full Moon. What we assume is the conclusion of a chapter may turn out to be very different in the long run (not necessarily bad either).
