Astrology Chart of the July 2020 New Moon

Astrology of the July 2020 New Moon

The New Moon will be at 28° Cancer 26′. Cancer is a cardinal water sign ruled by the Moon.

At the time of the New Moon, both the Moon and Sun will be opposite retrograde Saturn. Five hours after the New Moon, the Sun will make its exact opposition to retrograde Saturn. The Sun opposite retrograde Saturn represents the midpoint of the Saturn retrograde period.

During the Sun opposition to retrograde Saturn, we often feel overly confined or are biting at the bit regarding matters related to the houses that the Sun and Saturn are currently transiting through (Cancer for the Sun and Capricorn for retrograde Saturn in this instance). The desire to break free of these constraints is likely to be very strong at this time.

New Moons are associated with new beginnings. The Saturn retrograde has us considering our limitations and what control we do or don’t have over our lives. This New Moon so closely linked with the midpoint of the Saturn retrograde is likely to have many of us choosing new beginnings that bring us some freedom from what we perceive to be holding us back or tieing us down.
