The New Moon in Gemini is likely to be about putting measures in place for the corresponding Full Moon in late November 2020, which is actually a Lunar Eclipse. The connection of retrograde Saturn to this New Moon suggests that some of these new routines, habits, and beginnings may be of a practical nature, and/or help us feel more in control of our lives.
Mercury as ruler of this New Moon is making a few interesting connections to retrograde Venus and Neptune that may need some attention. Retrograde Venus has us currently analyzing and reviewing matters related to our values and relationships. Neptune is clouding the situation a little and may cause confusion, disillusionment, or deception.
Venus retrograde is not the time to be making important moves regarding relationships if we can help it, it is a time of review. However, it may be that some will take this time to put in place new measures and routines to effect better relationships further down the track.
We do need to be aware that Neptune may be blurring the boundaries at this time though, and not lock ourselves into an irreversible position because of the information we currently have on hand.
New Moons are traditionally a time for sowing seeds and are a good time for breaking old habits and taking up new routines. The New Moon is symbolic of new beginnings, and what is started at the New Moon is said to sometimes be manifested 6 months later at the corresponding Full Moon in the same zodiac sign.

Astrology of this New Moon
The New Moon will be at 2° Gemini 04′. Gemini is a mutable air sign ruled by Mercury.
Mercury, as ruler of this New Moon, is also in Gemini (so Mercury is co-present with the Sun and Moon at this time). Mercury is strong in Gemini as it is a sign that it rules, and so is comfortable and able to work well in this position.
At the time of the New Moon, Mercury will have not long passed its conjunction to retrograde Venus, with both of them at 20° of Gemini. Retrograde Venus has us reviewing and analyzing our relationships and values during its retrograde phase (13 May to 25 June 2020). Mercury being conjunct retrograde Venus is likely to intensify these thoughts, as Mercury is associated with thinking and communications.
To make things a little interesting, both Mercury and retrograde Venus will have recently made a square (a challenging aspect) to Neptune at 20° Pisces. Neptune is a planet associated with romanticism, day-dreaming, idealism, confusion, blurring of boundaries, and sometimes deceit. While we may be doing a lot of thinking about relationships and values at this time, we may not have all the details that we need to know to make informed decisions.
Neptune can lead us astray and have us seeing things that aren’t really there. The Venus square Neptune transit has been around since early May 2020 and will be in effect this time around (during Venus’ retrograde) until the 23rd of May. After the Venus retrograde, Venus will once again square Neptune from the 26th to the 28th of July.
As for the New Moon itself, both the Sun and Moon at 2° Gemini will have just moved past their trine (a helpful aspect) to retrograde Saturn at 1° Aquarius. New Moons are about planting new seeds, developing new habits, and new beginnings. The close contact to retrograde Saturn at the time of the New Moon suggests that these new habits, rituals, and beginnings may be quite pragmatic and practical (the influence of Saturn).
As Saturn retrogrades have us considering our limitations and what control we do or don’t have over our lives, this too may have a big impact on what new beginnings we want to embark on.
Plans and goals put in place during a New Moon often reach a culmination or completion around the date of the corresponding Full Moon. The corresponding Full Moon for this New Moon will actually be a lunar eclipse on the 30th of November at 8° Gemini.

As the New Moon is associated with beginnings rather than endings, I would expect to see perhaps the beginning of an inheritance being executed, rather than the death of a person per se.
A new loan may be taken out at this time, or an agreement with someone or something else regarding finances is possible. The 8th is the house of other people’s money, so that money does not necessarily have to be from a partner or a lending institution.
