The Annular Solar Eclipse of 10 June 2021 takes place at 19 Gemini 47′. The website timeanddate.com says that the Annular Solar Eclipse will be “visible from parts of Russia, Greenland, and northern Canada. Weather permitting, those in Northern Asia, Europe, and the United States will see a partial eclipse.”
All dates given are for United States Central Daylight Time (C.D.T.)
What is a Solar Eclipse?
Solar Eclipses occur at the time of a New Moon (when the Sun and Moon are conjunct, or at the same degree). When the Sun, Moon, and Earth are all aligned at the time of a New Moon, and the Moon is between the Sun and the Earth, a solar eclipse occurs.
New Moons are traditionally a time for sowing new seeds and are a good time for breaking old habits and taking up new routines.
A solar eclipse amplifies the power of the New Moon and may bring sudden change or bring a situation to light. Solar eclipses tend to be associated with beginnings and with external events happening to you.
Unless you have natal or secondary progressed planets or angles at zodiac degrees in close aspect to the eclipse degree (19° Gemini 47′), you are unlikely to feel the impact of this eclipse too much, if at all.
Annular Solar Eclipse
An Annular Solar Eclipse occurs when the Moon is far enough away from the Earth that it doesn’t appear as big as the Sun does as it passes across its path. In this case, there will be a ring around the Moon, which is the outer edges of the Sun.
In an Annular Solar Eclipse, the Moon’s umbra is too short to reach the Earth, but the antumbra does. Those within the antumbra will be able to view the Annular Solar Eclipse.

Astrological conditions of the June 2021 Solar Eclipse
As this Annular Solar Eclipse is in Gemini, it is ruled by Mercury. Mercury is retrograde at the time of the eclipse and conjunct the eclipse degree.
As Mercury will be within 1° of the Sun at the time, some would consider Mercury to be Cazimi (others say it needs to be within 16 minutes to be Cazimi). When a planet is Cazimi, it is more effective and influential.
This is an interesting concept, as Solar Eclipses often signify new beginnings, and Mercury being so close to the eclipse degree, might indicate that ideas brought to light at this time could be very good.
I do wonder if the fact that Mercury is retrograde at this time will mean that these new ideas or beginnings may need some refining before getting off the ground. Perhaps it will take until Mercury stations direct (22 June 2021) or ends its retrograde shadow period (7 July 2021) before any real action can be taken.
At the time of the Solar Eclipse, retrograde Saturn will be making its way slowly toward its square with Uranus. The exact square aspect will be on Monday the 14th of June. While the Saturn square Uranus aspect may not directly impact this Solar Eclipse, it is part of the landscape of these new beginnings or hidden matters coming to light.
Uranus is erratic, sudden, and revolutionary, whereas Saturn is conservative, established, and restrictive. I can’t help but wonder, though, if perhaps this eclipse may usher in something good. While Saturn has the superior position to Uranus, it has the upper hand. It makes me wonder if something will be initiated at this time (maybe with the exact square of Saturn and Uranus) that sees us return to our old normal. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end of this long nightmare.
Then again, that may just be wishful thinking on my part (I am going to blame Neptune widely square the eclipse degree for that). If it were the case, though, the third and final Saturn Uranus square on 23 December might bring some resolution.
What I do like if that were the case is that Mars opposes the exact eclipse degree on 10 January 2022 (Mars transits to an eclipse degree can act as a trigger). Again, maybe dreaming, wishing, hoping (Neptune again), but when Mars triggers the eclipse degree, the Sun will be at 20 Capricorn (the degree that the Lunar Eclipse of 10 January 2020 was in). That Lunar Eclipse also had Mercury conjunct the eclipse degree.
What the June 2021 Solar Eclipse means for you
When you know what zodiac sign and degree a Solar Eclipse occurs in (19° Gemini 47′ for this one), you can look at which house in your natal chart that zodiac degree falls. Reading the relevant information for that natal house below will give you some indication of where you might have new beginnings, sudden changes, or situations brought into the light.
Not all eclipses are likely to strongly affect you. It usually requires that the eclipse degree is making some sort of significant aspect to a natal or secondary progressed planet or angle of yours for you to feel the full impact of a Solar Eclipse. See the section below on sensitive degrees for the June 2021 Solar Eclipse to see if you are likely to be strongly impacted.

Sensitive degrees for June 2021 Solar Eclipse
Zodiac degrees conjunct, opposite & square the Solar Eclipse
Those with natal or secondary progressed planets or angles at 17° to 21° of Gemini and Sagittarius are likely to feel the effects of this eclipse more than others as these degrees are conjunct (or conjoin) and oppose the eclipse degree.
Those with natal or secondary progressed planets or angles at 17° to 21° of Virgo and Pisces may feel the impact quite significantly too. These positions will be squaring the eclipse degree.
Conjunctions, squares, and oppositions are often thought to be difficult aspects. As Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces, and Virgo are mutable signs, making the initial changes may not as difficult as it would be for those with fixed signs.
If the natal or secondary progressed planets being squared are Venus or Jupiter, the changes or what comes to light may be more positive. However, they may not have a long life span. Challenging aspects to Mars and Saturn may tend more towards disgrace, scandal, infamy, or ruin.
Zodiac degrees sextile and trine the Solar Eclipse
Those with natal or secondary progressed planets and angles at 17° to 21 of Aries, Leo, Libra, and Aquarius may feel some impact of the eclipse, as these positions are sextile and trine the eclipse degree. Sextiles and trines are helpful and easy aspects, so potentially any changes will be easier to cope with.
Zodiac degrees inconjunct the Solar Eclipse
Those with natal or secondary progressed planets or angles at 17° to 21° of Capricorn and Scorpio may also find that they feel some impact of the eclipse. These positions are inconjunct the eclipse degree and inconjuncts often ask us to make adjustments of some kind.

Links to past Solar Eclipses
Thousands of years ago, the ancient Babylonians discovered that solar eclipses all belonged to individual groups called Saros Cycles (also called Saros Series). There are between 71 to 73 eclipses in each Saros Series, and they run for approximately 1280 years.
This eclipse is part of Saros Series 5 North (Series 147). The dates shown in the section below may also factor into events happening at the time of this Solar Eclipse. The previous solar eclipse in Saros Series 5 North was an Annular Solar Eclipse on 31 May 2003 at 9° Gemini 13′.
This eclipse at 19 Gemini 47′ is very close to the same zodiac degree and minute as the 10 June 2002 Annular Solar Eclipse at 19° Gemini 54′. That solar eclipse was part of Saros Series 4 North (Series 137), as was the Annular Solar Eclipse of 21 June 2020 at 0° Cancer 21′.
Therefore, there may be a linking of what is happening at the time of this Solar Eclipse to events in late May or early June of 2003. There may also possibly be a link to events from June of 2002 and 2020
