Weekly Astrology – 18 to 24 September 2023

There’s not a lot of planetary activity going on this week, and what planetary aspects are occurring all involve the Sun.

On Tuesday the Sun makes an opposition to Neptune.  Neptune is a planet associated with blurring the boundaries. Things are not clearly defined when Neptune is in the picture, and it can sometimes dissipate energy. So with the Sun opposite Neptune, you may feel a little lethargic or you may feel like you are walking around in a bit of a fog.

On Thursday, the Sun moves up to trine Pluto. Pluto is associated with transformation, as well as depth, intensity, and sometimes power dynamics. For some, this will be a great day, where you may feel like you are the captain of your ship and that things are going well for you, that you are in control.

For some others, this may be more challenging, especially if you have natal planets at or close to 27 degrees of Capricorn or Virgo.  For those people you may find that there is a more intense or impactful slant to this aspect.  Looking at the natal houses that have Capricorn and Virgo in them is likely to give you some more clues.

Finally, on Saturday, the Sun moves into Libra. In tropical astrology (which most western astrologers use) the entrance or ingress of the Sun into Libra is synced to the Fall Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and the Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. During this time, there are equal amounts of day and night.

From the entry of the Sun into Libra, there will steadily be less light in the day in the Northern Hemisphere, and more light during the day in the Southern Hemisphere.  Wherever Libra is in your natal chart will give you some indication of the people and topics that are likely to be the focus of your attention more over the next month.

All dates and times given are for United States Central Daylight Time (C.D.T.).

After 6 years of providing weekly horoscopes, I have decided to move away from writing them for the website. However, I will still provide a weekly astrology round-up of what is happening in the skies.

For those interested in horoscopes, you might consider the Astro Babble podcast that I and Donna from Donna B Astrology co-host. We record horoscopes for the New and Full Moons, look ahead at the planetary aspects for the following two weeks and give our take on them. You can find the latest New or Full Moon podcast on the front page of this website or over at the Astro Babble YouTube Channel
