A pretty quiet week after all the excitement of the previous months. We had the New Moon in Gemini over the weekend, and on Monday we have Jupiter sextile retrograde Saturn.
Jupiter is about enthusiasm, optimism, and expansion while Saturn is about stability, perseverance, and limitations. The fact that Saturn is currently retrograde may mean that what would usually be quite a nice blend of confidence and hard work may not go as smoothly as we might anticipate.
Monday also marks the start of the shadow period for the upcoming Venus retrograde. Venus will be retrograde from the 22nd of July until the 3rd of September but you may start to notice yourself or others re-evaluating issues to do with art. beauty and relationships from Monday. This is because Venus will be moving over the zodiac degree that she will retrograde back to in September.
On Wednesday, the Sun enters the sign of Cancer. In tropical astrology, this is synced to the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere and the Winter Solstice in the southern hemisphere. Over the next month, you may find that the people and topics associated with the natal house that has Cancer in it in your natal chart demand more of your attention.
Also on Wednesday, we have Mercury sextile Mars. This can have us walking the walk and not just talking the talk. This is thought and action working hand in glove.
Rounding out the week on Sunday we have Mercury square Neptune. This can lead to a lot of foggy thinking. It can be great for creative or altruistic thinking but not good for detail-orientated tasks.

After 6 years of providing weekly horoscopes, I have decided to move away from writing them for the website. However, I will still provide a weekly astrology round-up of what is happening in the skies.
