Weekly Astrology – 23 to 29 October 2023

We start the week with the Sun entering the sign of Scorpio.  Over the next month, the people and topics associated with the natal house that has Scorpio in your natal chart are likely to take up more of your focus.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Sun will trine retrograde Saturn. Sun trine retrograde Saturn can help us work towards our goals.

On Saturday, we have Mars opposing retrograde Jupiter. This may be something to watch out for. This can be great if used productively (fighting for a good cause etc), but the danger of mixing Jupiter (expansion) with Mars (aggression) can also just lead to rash decisions and inflame volatile situations.

Mid-afternoon on Saturday we have the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus. The eclipses have been in Taurus/Scorpio since November 2021, but this is the final eclipse in that series until 2031.

There may be a winding up of matters associated with your Taurus/Scorpio natal houses and the people or topics associated with those houses.

Late night on Saturday, Mercury will oppose retrograde Jupiter.  Mercury’s opposition to retrograde Jupiter can lead to over-optimistic and pie-in-the-sky thinking.

This is complicated somewhat by the fact that Mercury is also moving up toward its conjunction with Mars on Sunday. Mercury-Mars aspects can be a little caustic.  Mercury conjunct Mars can be beneficial for quick thinking and decisive action.

All times and dates given are for United States Central Daylight Time (C.D.T.).

After 6 years of providing weekly horoscopes, I have decided to move away from writing them for the website. However, I will still provide a weekly astrology round-up of what is happening in the skies.

For those interested in horoscopes, you might consider the Astro Babble podcast that I and Donna from Donna B Astrology co-host. We record horoscopes for the New and Full Moons, look ahead at the planetary aspects for the following two weeks and give our take on them. You can find the latest New or Full Moon podcast on the front page of this website or over at the Astro Babble YouTube Channel
