We start the week with Venus opposing retrograde Saturn on Tuesday. Venus opposite retrograde Saturn can make our approach to relationships more solemn. Duties, obligations, and restrictions within our closest relationships are more evident now.
Also happening on Tuesday, we have Pluto stationing direct. Pluto is retrograde for nearly 6 months every year, so when it changes direction, this can be significant. Those with natal planets at or around 27 degrees of the cardinal signs (Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, and Libra) are likely to feel the impact of Pluto stationing direct the most.
Pluto is the planet of depth, transformation, and power plays. So if Pluto is making an aspect to planets in your natal chart, there may be changes and shake-ups to do with the topics associated with that natal planet or the topics associated with the natal house it is within.
On Wednesday, Mars enters the sign of Scorpio. Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio, so this is a sign that Mars can work very well within.
Mars is associated with energy, drive, and aggression. You may find that irritation and prickliness with the people and topics associated with the natal house that has Scorpio in it in your natal chart. A more productive use of this energy would be to find an energetic outlet or project to pour that excess energy into.
On Friday, Mars moves up to trine retrograde Saturn. Whereas Mars just wants to move forward, Saturn wants to slow down and ensure that things are being done correctly.
As this is a trine aspect though, this should work really well. Saturn unfortunately is retrograde at this time, so is not functioning as well as it could be. However, it should still be able to give some stability and direction to that powerful Mars. Mars has energy to burn, and the stamina to stay the course at this time, so a project that you may have been putting off could be the perfect outlet for this.
Then on Saturday, we have a Solar Eclipse that will be visible across the United States. This is the first Libra eclipse since the nodes moved into Aries and Libra.
Eclipses tend to bring changes for those that have natal planets or chart points (Ascendant or Midheaven) close to or opposite or square the eclipse degree. This eclipse will happen at 21° Libra, so those with planets from 19° to 23° of Libra, Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn are likely to feel the impact of the eclipse more than others. There may be new beginnings (Solar Eclipses are New Moons with the nodes close by) or information coming to light.
All dates given are for United States Central Daylight Time (C.D.T.).
After 6 years of providing weekly horoscopes, I have decided to move away from writing them for the website. However, I will still provide a weekly astrology round-up of what is happening in the skies.
For those interested in horoscopes, you might consider the Astro Babble podcast that I and Donna from Donna B Astrology co-host. We record horoscopes for the New and Full Moons, look ahead at the planetary aspects for the following two weeks and give our take on them. You can find the latest New or Full Moon podcast on the front page of this website or over at the Astro Babble YouTube Channel.
